Introduction

Pocketto adds engineering discipline to Claude Code and Pi: 15 skills that take a rough idea to reviewed, shipped code without the agent improvising.

Pocketto adds engineering discipline to AI coding agents. It is a set of 15 skills for Claude Code and Pi that turn a rough idea into reviewed, shipped code, without the agent improvising.

Coding agents are good at writing code and bad at not skipping steps. Pocketto supplies the missing structure:

  • Plan before code. Specs, acceptance criteria, and TDD-structured plans come before a single line is written.
  • Delegate with contracts. Every subagent gets a Pocket Packet: objective, verification, stop conditions. No packet, no spawn.
  • Gate before done. Independent reviews and a hard close step keep finished work from rotting in IN_PROGRESS limbo.

Everything is local-first: the Core pipeline works with no GitHub credentials, no remote, and no Enterprise installation. If your team opts in, Pocket Enterprise consumes Core's durable lifecycle events and owns GitHub reconciliation. Core itself never calls gh. And if you are learning, opt into Pocket Education: you write the code, the agent teaches, reviews, and guides.

The three layers

LayerWhat it isRequires
CoreThe six-stage pipeline, nine standalone skills, and the lifecycle CLI. Local-first.Nothing: no remote, no credentials
EnterpriseAn optional, additive adapter that synchronizes the lifecycle with GitHub.A matching Core install + explicit opt-in
EducationAn opt-in mentor mode where the human implements.Nothing: independent of Enterprise

How the documentation is organized

  • Getting started: concepts, installation, quickstart, and setup for both hosts.
  • Pipeline: the six stages, their approval gates, and the artifacts they produce.
  • Skills: a full page for every standalone skill.
  • Core & Enterprise: architecture, boundaries, lifecycle events, compatibility, recovery.
  • Reference: CLI commands, generated files, Pocket Packets, troubleshooting, FAQ, glossary.
  • Contributing: repository organization and how to build and test Pocketto.
